Harmaalokki / Herring Gull (Larus argentatus)

Viisi kuvaa lokista, jolla on smithsonianuksen piirteitä. Pyrstön kuvio lienee smithsonianuksen vaihteluvälin sisällä, mutta ei kaikkein helpoin tyyppi. Alapuoli on laikukkaampi kuin yleensä amerikanharmaalokilla, eikä isojen peitinhöyhenten kuviointikaan ole aivan helpoimmasta päästä. Lienee harmaalokki Larus argentatus.

Five pictures of a gull, which shows smithsonianus features. The tail pattern is probably within the variation of smithsonianus, but not of the most typical type. The underparts are more blotchy than is typical in smithsonianus, nor is the pattern of the greater coverts of the diagnostic type. This bird is therefore probably a Herring Gull Larus argentatus.
