Great Grey Shrike (Lanius excubitor)

(1.) Quite a lot of white on T5 - only inner part of shaft is black. Collected in late April in Arkhangelsk oblasti, northern European Russia. Moscow University

(2.) The same individual. Big, white patch on primaries. This bird is very like homeyeri. It seems to be that northern nominate excubitor quite often show plenty of white on remiges and rectrices as adult.
